Thoughtful Decoration

I must say I have never given much thought as to what I place upon my head, it is usually just a hand knitted beret to keep my thoughts warm. I am however, taking note of various wonderful hats and well placed jewels to highlight and dress what is wisely called our crown.
So, a small collection of snaps to embellish my humble beginnings within this accessory realm, in hope of inspiration to all and an aspiration to look as wonderful as our fashion Gods intended.

Saint Laurent. Simple yet overwhelmingly powerful. This is a hat I would wear every day. With that dress of course.

Littledoe certainly is love. Feathers and flowers. Summer in Winter. Fabulously festival-fatal with a slight urge to wear that many feathers for my Christmas night out. Too much is never enough.

Who doesn't need fur all year round. Fur HAT no knickers..oh Marc Jacobs you wonderful man. P.S please be my bestie?

I am slightly in love with Littledoe. I would like to wear a crown like this whilst shopping....it is totally fantasy-chic.

Marie Mercie is a well known fashion crush these days. Cat style isn't just for Halloween you know?!

The ultimate train hat. I also need that Co-Ord suit in the background. With the hat. And the sunglasses...

Dolce and Gabbana are Baroque GODS and I just need all of their crown jewels. Like I said; too much is never enough.

Sophie McElligott. She is one of my faves at the moment. Queen of cranial embellishment. Take a look at her gallery http://www.sophie-mcelligott.com/gallery her designs are works of art. I cannot stop gazing open mouthed (drool may or may not be involved) racking every morsel of my grey matter as to why I have only just discovered her.

Ralph Lauren finding his way to my heart with black and Karlie Kloss. Heaven.

These works of beauty styled by Carine Roitfeld and captured by Karl Lagerfeld demonstrate the true versatility and style-provoking assets The Little Black Jacket has to offer. Modelled by musicians, dancers, actors and models; it just goes to show how Coco Chanel really instilled the true essence of her label ''Fashion passes, style remains''.
This exhibition is not one to be sniffed at; yes it is essentially about fashion but the artistry that goes hand in hand with design, material, cut and so many key factors that play a role in the making of such an iconic garment, makes this exhibition a true thing of wonderment.
Without the use of garish labels Lagerfeld has epitomised quintessential Chanel.  This is a jacket that can be worn by many and individualised by one. This is Chanel.

The Little Black Jacket exhibition is in London at the Saatchi Gallery from 12th - 28th October: Put it in your Little Black Book because it's a date.

Whistle down the wind

So, I have a slight obsession with Whistles Autumn/Winter collection! I'm open to suggestions on how best to acquire this fabulous wardrobe considering I have such little funds (and a great desire to buy every item sold)?!

Plums, golds, blacks, indigos, emeralds: key colours this A/W. I have ambitions to come out of my usual mourning attire and welcome a beautiful palate of colour into my life this year.
I have an overwhelming, compelling need to wear soft luxe trousers, heavy jacquard dresses, sumptuous fur, revealing lace and naughty leather skirts that leave the mind to wander...
Yes Whistles, you have left me in a whirlwind romance that I hope will never end. I salute you.

''I don't do fashion, I AM fashion.''

Oh Coco darling never said a truer statement (and trust me she has many a quote). She was the epitome of everything fashion was, is and ever will be. The crème de la crème of  beauty, sophistication and dreams. Ladies and gentlemen, I give you CHANEL.

Please let me be a Chanel girl

Too amazing!

Don't think I'll fit everything in it like...

Hell YES! Get the ski trip booked and kit me out with all of this.
Oh it gets better....

 Food and fashion...heaven. I WANT!

Needless to say this is but a trifle of what Chanel is. It is what I want to be.

Alice in Wonderland

In honour of London Fashion Weekend and a near drama-diva experience of losing all my photos (due to a lost phone...yes ok I was a tad bit drunk) here is ALICE by Temperley first ever show.

I just want every outfit there! Number 1 has got to be a fave along with the amazing lace jumpsuit. Autumn wardrobe wants and desires.
Check out the whole collection at http://www.temperleylondon.com I know I'll be figuring out a way to afford a cape at least.
p.s. sorry about the bun-ed in front. Who wears a bun to a fashion show...noone can see you idiot!
