Dark Affair

Many would argue my favourite colour is black and who am I to disagree? It is the general colour of my wardrobe. I LOVE wearing black...I actually revel in it's flattering abilities (unbeatable skinny-illusion) and how it ALWAYS makes you look sexy (OK not necessarily talking about myself here!). I am automatically drawn to anything black and mysterious. Of course I do like throwing the odd dash of emerald or cerise in there. Occasionally that is.
With it being basically winter and that is when my black fetish is at its height of power, I have been drooling over Black Magic and Dark Romance inspired shoots. As this is a clearly acceptable form of procrastination I am trying to conjure up some fabulous ideas for Christmas party combinations - because I have two...yes, I am THAT popular.

I love this but cannot remember where I got it from! Dreamy...

OK, so I know some may be a little risqué for my first work Christmas party but maybe they need some scandal. Thigh highs and a fur coat are clearly right up my street.
I adore the jumpsuit and fur coat ensemble and the D&G body and cape in the second to last photo. Definite inspiration for my Christmas imagery. And, who knows...maybe the sexpot thigh-highs and lingerie combo is your thang?! Do it for the team!
Last photo is what I expect to look like at the end of said parties ( I wish I looked that good at the start to be fair).

Plaid Mad

At this time of year...yes I'm going to say it...NEARLY CHRISTMAS time of year; I get it into my head that I must dress baby toe to longest hair on my head in tartan. I have no idea where this notion has come from. Nothing to do with Scottish highlands, snow on the ground, gazing at dancing flames in the fire whilst cradling a wee dram of whiskey; eyeing up that mounted moose head on the wall thinking 'That would look amazing in my living room' . OK so maybe my tartan thoughts have stemmed from the over-workings of my imaginative imaginings?!
There is something so comforting within a tartan print...all similar in style yet so individual in meaning.I feel like I'm coming home when I wear tartan and can't help but absorb it's combinations of colour and pattern. Green and red are my favourite tartans hands down - I am traditional sometimes.
There are many wondrous tartan garments out there for the wearing...wacky and classic. When all is said and done though, it doesn't matter how it is styled; tartan is tartan. Beautiful and timeless.

MatchMaker

Totally fixated with matching as many garments in an outfit as possible..shoes and socks included! My next investment is a matching shirt and trouser set in an amazing print that everyone will be ridiculously envious of. I am totally adoring the pyjama meets dinner date combos - I invested in the pyjama bottom look a while ago...why has it only just come into fashion?! (Though it has been a firm favourite in Liverpool for YEARS - but only with flannel bear-print numbers...not so chic!)
So, as always I have selected some looks I wish I could be frequenting upon the streets of this ole town. Special shout out to Henry, Stella and Roberto....why are you all so fabulous?!
