Let us begin:
Duro Olowu
The colours in this collection are phenomenal; so complimentary to cuts and textures. Brights are a must have this season and so is Duro Olowu in your wardrobe with pieces like this. Birds of Paradise really is the only way to describe this collection. I'm a bird give me paradise please.
Mulberry
Don't you just squeal a little when you pine over Mulberry? Well I'm a Mulberry fiend and this collection lives up to dreams and desires. Perfectly autumnal with quintessentially British streams - plaid, tweed, loafer-esque heels - not to mention the luxurious add -ons: fur, leather sheen. All with colourful accessories to boot. Mulberry bush...more like Mulberry CRUSH.
Phoebe English
Layering and cut are poignant in this latest collection from this precise designer. Cut out shoulders and layered sheer fabrics create a daring edge to otherwise minimal pieces. The shoes are unbelievable with fringing making another appearance this week. Simple yet distinctive. I can feel another cult follow coming along.
Temperley London
Relaxed and feminine through layered fabrics and a move into the everyday rather than the 'occasion'. A bold move from Temperley, yet worthy with this collection. I love Temperley and will follow her wherever her thoughts and experiments take this fabulous fashion house.
A collection designed '..to attract interesting people' as '...your social life will be better for it.' What a novel idea. Always one for dismissing the 'Trend' label, Vivienne has produced a collection with sexual appetite yet with depth and interest conforming to, what I believe, many Westwood wearers. Although seemingly signature to the Westwood label, there is always a fresh and innovative feel to her designs; brights and prints and clears and 'I will make you look amazing' tulles. Who needs a trend when you have Westwood? All hail the Westwood Massive.
Topshop Unique
Nineties nostalgia is pungent amongst the crops and digi prints. Yet, there is a feeling of modern 90s... fur crops and leather and shearling donkey jackets. Think Clueless or Moss and your hitting the home run - just with Cara and Jourdan instead. Toppers knows how to push our buttons.
Mark Fast
Simple and detailed - polar opposites, yet this latest collect deserves both accolades. Using one or two colours with simple silhouette enhancing features made specific by feathering (although actually it is yarn and not ostrich feathers as it appears). Evening capes and evening fishtails from what is ultimately innovative knitwear - a glorious title Fast is most famous for.
Mary Katrantzou
Dark shadows and Japanese inspired cuts takes our normally colour-happy Katrantzou into a new mysterious chapter. Signature prints are taken from various photographers, adorned upon both structured and relaxed materials. Although definitively punk/grunge-esque there is still a feminine flair in the precise balance of cuts and print. Exciting and thought provoking.
Matthew Williamson
Colour, colour and more colour. Never a dull moment (thank god!). Drawing inspiration from the Northern Lights, hues and ombres make this a vibrant yet winter-worthy compilation (note layering and fur). I needs me some Matthew Williamson pronto.
Richard Nicholl
So, I must admit at the beginning of the show I was liking the 'masculine glamour' cuts but wasn't overly excited about the greys. Then BOOM my eyes were blinded by the brilliant flash of orange and I couldn't peel my eyes away (no pun intended). I am lu-huving this attention-grabbing collection and I want me some more to ogle at please! The cuts may be masculine but by god those colours are all glamour. Helluva turn around.
Marios Schwab
Nothing says jaw-dropping glamour like a floor sweeping gown and Marios Schwab has nailed it. Not only do we have the classic flaw-lengths, but hello and welcome to the cape floor-lengths and sheer flesh-flashing floor-lengths. Sumptuous velvet and sexually-provoking cuts make this a red carpet fashion frenzie. And I love it.
